How to write a novel!

Published on Sunday 8th May 2022 by Griff Hosker

In case I have not written about this before let me do so now. I developed my writing method back in 2010 and it still works, at least it does for me. When I am writing a novel I go to bed and instead of emptying my head of my work, I fill it with what I might write the next day. When I was an educator I learned that reading something last thing at night and reading it again in the morning reinforced learning. When I wake I put on a pot of coffee and while it is brewing complete a Sudoku. I take the pot upstairs and start to write. Yesterday the juices were flowing and I wrote 7983 words by 12. I would have written more but my knee complained too much. It is now 9 am, a day later and already I have written 3500 words. Hopefully, it will be another 8000-word day.

It may not work for everyone but it works for me.
