HNS North America Conference 2023

Well, I am back from another successful and enjoyable Historical Writers Conference. I got to meet up with old friends from previous HNS North America conferences and met some new ones as well. Apart from the 3 flights it took to get there, it was the perfect location for me as I love San Antonio. I made day and night visits to the Alamo and got to visit its new museum which was built to house the Alamo collection that Phil Collins donated.

In terms of the Conference itself, I found a number of the workshops useful. The ones about the websites and social media were particularly illuminating. I met some great people. Jim Marley was an inspiration. 80 odd years old still writing and painting. Dave, John, Jeannie were new friends made at the conference but it was a joy to touch base again with Rex, Brook and Nancy.

I enjoyed being on the panel with Nancy Bilyeau and Michael Cooper, which was moderated by Annamaria Alfieri, and meeting attendees afterwards. The audience were very kind and I felt welcomed. Thanks to Bob for the photography. When I download the photos from my phone I will add them.
