The two series are written in different time scales. The Viking books cover one year, perhaps two. The Norman Genesis can span twenty years. I have a spread sheet with the dates and this helps me to keep track of the different threads. It does not stop me making mistakes! But then I have a legion of loyal readers who tell me instantly!
